  Na uppathena gacchanto pathena gacchantassa agilAnassa dhammaM desissAmI’ ti, sikkhA karaNIyA.

    「我不走在路邊，對無病而走在路上的人說法」，應當學。

因緣

  佛在捨衛城祇樹給孤獨園時，六比丘走在路邊，對走在路中間的人說法。

1.無意。

2.不小心。

3.生病。

4.意外事件。

5.比丘精神失常。

備註

五分律：人在道中，比丘在道外，不應為說法，除病，應當學。

僧祇律：在道外不為道中人說法，除病，應當學。

四分律：人在道己在非道，不得為說法，除病，應當學。

十誦律：人在道中，比丘在道外，不應為說法，除病，應當學。

根有律：人在道己在非道，不為說法，除病，應當學。
