五分律:若比丘有主,為身作房,應將諸比丘求作處,諸比丘應示作處,無難處、有行處。若不將諸比丘求作處,僧伽婆屍沙。
僧祇律:若比丘作大房,有主,為身,應將諸比丘指授處,無難處、非妨處。若難處、妨處,有主,為身,亦不將諸比丘指授處,僧伽婆屍沙。
四分律:若比丘欲作大房,有主,為己作,當將餘比丘往指授處所,彼比丘應指授處所,無難處、無妨處。若比丘有難處、妨處,作大房,有主,為己作,不將餘比丘指授處所,僧伽婆屍沙。
十誦律:若比丘有主,自為,欲作大房,是比丘應將諸比丘示作房處,無難處、非妨處,諸比丘應示作房處,無難處、非妨處。若難處、妨處,有主,為身,作大房,亦不將諸比丘示作房處,僧伽婆屍沙。
根有律:若複苾芻作大住處,有主,為眾作,是苾芻應將苾芻眾往觀處所。彼苾芻眾應觀處所,是應法淨處、無諍競處、有進趣處。若苾芻于不應法、不淨處、有諍競處、無進趣處,作大住處,有主,為眾作,不將諸苾芻往觀處所,於如是處造大住處者,僧伽伐屍沙。

for his own advantage, having a benefactor, monks should be
brought for marking out a site. A site should be marked out by
these monks, not involving destruction, with an open space round
it. If the monk should build a vihAra
on a site involving destruction, no with an open space round it,
or if he should not bring monks to mark out a site, there is an
offence entailing a formal meeting of the Order. |
